This week saw the 6 shortlisted competition entries revealed for the dramatic new bridge proposed by English Heritage to link the legendary Tintagel Castle island site back to the mainland. Nicholas Pearson Associates are pleased to be supporting English Heritage with the project.
In a press release this week English Heritage stated that the design entries are a very strong set of submissions and are of high quality which reflects the success of the hard work put into the preparation for the competition and the compilation of the brief by internal staff, external consultants and our honorary competition Jury.
Graham Morrison (of Allies and Morrison,) the Jury Chair, confirmed his belief that ‘Each of the six represents a very different approach and the outcome is both reassuring and exciting and surely justifies the competition.’
The design entries are to be displayed in an exhibition in Tintagel village in the Tourist Information Centre from 4-11th December 2015. NPA will be attending the exhibition on Wednesday 9th December.
