The signs of Spring are in the air and leaves are starting to return to our trees and hedgerows. It is, therefore, worth remembering to book in any photography required to capture winter views for use in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and Visualisations before early April.
The professional guidelines that we work to on Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and the Visual Representation of Development Proposals identify the need to consider the maximum effect scenario, e.g. winter views, where reasonable within project timescales. Assessments may need to be provided in the winter when leaf cover and screening are at a minimum. It is also not too soon to start to book in your baseline assessments of summer views.

Missing key seasonal constraints can have significant impacts on project programmes and budgets. We do, therefore, recommend you book in any survey requirements as soon as they have been identified.
