Appointed as Director of Nicholas Pearson Associates Ltd in 2019, he is actively involved in a wide range of project and advisory roles, where clients and their teams benefit from the experience and dedicated approach he brings to all his projects.
Teamwork and communication are vital project skills and Jamie works collaboratively to drive his projects through each work stage of feasibility, briefing, design, construction and aftercare. Rooted in landscape architectural practice, Jamie has a thorough working knowledge of UK planning and development processes and adds value to project teams through his understanding of the complementary expertise that the company offers.
Jamie maintains a varied portfolio of active projects and is happiest using his professional skills across a range of project types, sectors, contexts and scales. He draws on this varied experience to tailor project inputs to fit the needs of client’s projects. His voluntary sector experience as a client gives him a particularly helpful insight in this respect. Through all project types and stages, he adopts a pragmatic approach together with a keen interest in environmental quality, functional aesthetics and sustainability. He has a track record of achieving results in complex project situations.
Project workload includes strategic inputs and design and consultation services for a number of University clients, and provision of masterplans and assessments or construction support services for strategic housing sites. Jamie is also involved in the delivery of public realm and public access enhancement projects for heritage and public sector clients, seeking to help make great places for people. Key experience has been gained working in complex urban settings, sensitive environments and heritage contexts where the visitor experience and accessibility need to be balanced with the specific characteristics of each site.
