The University of Bristol gain planning consent for a further 323 student bed spaces at their Stoke Bishop Campus, Bristol. Nicholas Pearson Associates helped secure the fast track planning consent on behalf of Bristol University by providing professional Landscape, Ecology and Photomontage support.
Hiatt Baker Hall is located in Stoke Bishop, adjacent to Durdham Downs in North Bristol. The site forms part of the Downs Conservation Area and is sensitive in terms of visual and arboricultural constraints. Through careful design and community engagement, the Design Team produced a scheme which meets the operational requirements of the University whilst providing BREEAM Excellent design within an enhanced landscape setting.
The scheme also incorporates a new public transport hub for the Stoke Bishop campus in order that regular bus services can run from Stoke Bishop to the University precinct.
