Taking the Pledge for a Greener Bristol

Nicholas Pearson Associates has taken a pledge to help make Bristol a greener, low-carbon city with a high quality of life for all.

As a company, we have long been committed to enhancing Bristol’s environment. Back in the 1990s we prepared the master plan for, and worked on the redevelopment of, the Bristol Zoo Gardens, whilst currently we are working with the University of Bristol on their proposals for redevelopment and renewal within the city centre.   Our work on the restoration and regeneration of Arnos Vale Cemetery was recognised through receipt of a Landscape Institute Award and an English Heritage Angel Award for rescuing a valued heritage asset.

Back in February NPA representatives attended the first ‘Quarterly Gathering’ of the Bristol Green Capital Partnership.  They heard from the organisers and the Mayor of Bristol, George Ferguson, about the Bristol Green Capital initiative and what the partnership hope to achieve, including the events being organised during 2015 and the legacy that organisers hope to have after the end of the year.  The meeting was held at the University of Bristol’s newly redeveloped Richmond Building (Student Union).
