Aisa has experience of providing ecological advice throughout the planning process from preliminary ecological appraisal though ecological impact assessment, production of management plans and practical mitigation and clerk of works duties during construction phases.
She is competent in botanical survey and habitat survey using Phase 1 Habitat Survey and UK Habitat Classification systems. She can undertake habitat survey and condition assessment to feed into biodiversity net gain metric calculations and has experience of working alongside Landscape Architects and Masterplan teams.
Aisa has been the named ecologist for a Hazel Dormouse mitigation licence and is licenced to survey for the species in England and Wales. In addition, she has experience of survey and mitigation for a range of protected species including bats, Water Vole, Badger, reptiles and Great Crested Newt.
Project Experience
Aisa has a range of project experience across a variety of sectors. She has undertaken surveys and provided ecological advice for a development of 800 homes, local centre, supporting infrastructure and country park, to discharge outline planning conditions and support submission of full application. This work included a Preliminary Ecological Appraisal for due diligence for S278 road work and input to management plans.
She has undertaken a Preliminary Ecological Appraisal and inspection of a building on the grounds of a disused school to provide ecological design advice and recommendations for further survey to progress the project.
Aisa has supported the exploration of options for achieving biodiversity net gain by undertaking habitat walk-over surveys.
She has coordinated surveys for a development of up to 900 dwellings with associated open space and infrastructure in preparation for submission of Ecology Chapter of an Environmental Statement for an EIA. She undertook a walkover survey and bat activity surveys at the site.
