Wytch Farm Oilfield, Dorset, is one of the largest onshore oil fields in Western Europe. We have had environmental consultancy involvement on this development for over 27 years, work which has included the preparation of landscape and visual impact studies and land management proposals for all aspects of development including mainland, island and pipeline facilities
In May this year, BP announced that it had agreed to sell its interests in the Wytch Farm, Wareham, Beacon and Kimmeridge fields to Perenco UK Ltd. Perenco is a leading European oil and gas company with a presence in 16 countries, spanning from Africa to South America, and from the Middle East to Europe. We are currently working for BP and Perenco as environmental consultants to assist in the handover phase.
This work includes the preparation of an Environmental Statement, landscape and visual impact assessment and ecological impact assessment to support a series of planning applications for the extension of the operation life of the oilfields.
