The site for the new sports facilities is located on agricultural land, designated as Green belt, adjacent to the M5, west of the former Frenchay Hospital.
The proposals, which include a new clubhouse and spectator facilities, comprise a floodlit 3G pitch together with new grass pitches for senior and junior sports use.
The masterplan was designed to locate pitches away from the motorway to avoid the need for ball stop nets, and includes sustainable drainage features, new woodland and grassland habitats.
