Bath High Street public realm enhancement

Nicholas Pearson Associates are the lead designers for the enhancement of High Street and Northumberland Place in Bath.  The project is part of the major investment in the transformation of streets and spaces over a 15-20 year period in order to enhance public life, movement and the economy and reputation of Bath as a city.

Commencing in early June 2012, this £1 million scheme includes pavement resurfacing with Pennant stone, decluttering and altering the geometry of the busy High Street north of the historic Bath Abbey to create a more pedestrian friendly environment and better access to public transport.  Northumberland Place will be resurfaced with Pennant stone and bespoke street furniture installed. The scheme is due for completion in early 2013.
