We were commissioned to carry out a landscape appraisal for the Hawthorns, the site of the University’s proposed Library, and contributed to the preparation of the new Library’s brief.

A series of opportunities and constraints assessments were undertaken, including analysis of the townscape and landscape planning context, and contributions to initial external realm costing.

Whilst assisting with the development of the project brief, we developed an outline landscape concept for the Library, to include private garden spaces and a new public realm as a key part of the Campus Heart programme.

We have provided Landscape Architecture and Ecology consultancy advice and design support to the University Estates team since 2004. Projects have been completed in relation to a variety of masterplans, phased developments and campus enhancement projects across the University Estate.
