The car park was significantly enhanced through the provision of clearly legible parking facilities for a range of visitors, using appropriate materials that were selected to respond to the sensitivity of the setting, being adjacent to the world famous 18th century designed historic garden and its Palladian mansion.
We prepared a report which outlined a number of options for improving the visitor experience within, and the aesthetic appearance of, the main visitor reception courtyard, and the courtyard adjacent to the historic Spread Eagle Inn.
These were improved in line with our proposals. The work included the replacement of the poorly draining and dusty loose gravel surface with permeable paving blocks that complemented the colour tones of the surrounding buildings and provided a sustainable and efficient means of draining the courtyards.
