We were commissioned to provide landscape architectural and ecological services to support the planning and design for the phased re-development of the Princess Royal Barracks, an existing MOD army base.

An outline planning permission for 1200 homes required modifications supported by Design Codes. We supported the master planner in these tasks.

We undertook the landscape and ecological design of the initial infrastructure for Reserved Matters planning application, detailed design and contract packages including: The Spine Road, Village Green and Suitable Area of Natural Greenspace (SANG).

We also undertook site wide ecological surveys and have provided ongoing support to the client.

The site lies close to the Thames Basin Heaths SPA which has required sensitive and specific landscape and ecological considerations and design measures to be incorporated into the scheme proposals.
