Melody is a Graduate Ecologist with Nicholas Pearson Associates and is a Qualifying member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) She conducts a range protected species surveys and contributes to data analysis and reporting.

Melody has a broad knowledge in protected species and is particularly passionate about contributing to their conservation through survey, assessment and mitigation.
She has developed practical skills across a variety of ecological survey techniques, particularly bats, but also Great Crested Newts, Dormice and reptiles.
Alongside her fieldwork Melody has experience in data analysis and technical report writing, contributing to the production of clear, evidence-based ecological assessments.
She has supported work on a variety of projects across the Southwest, including education, heritage conservation, commercial and residential led projects, gaining valuable experience in a range of field settings. This fieldwork has enhanced her understanding of the ecological factors influencing these sites and helped informed the development of appropriate mitigation strategies.
