If a picture paints a thousand words then a Geographical Information System (GIS) can capture those pictures and words, apply locational information, survey data and so much more. At Nicholas Pearson Associates we use QGIS in our day-to-day work so we are pleased to support this initiative through becoming a Bronze Sponsor of QGIS, joining only two other organisations in the UK in doing so. Our sponsorship recognises the on-going development work undertaken by the QGIS community.

We have used QGIS and associated open-source technologies to develop a range of services involving the collection, management, analysis and dissemination of data across multiple disciplines.
GIS facilitates the efficient use of data at all stages of our projects. Data can be taken from a variety of sources and be quickly combined to advise clients of environmental constraints and opportunities and inform scheme design. Management and integration of data is particularly important to our staff and clients when working on long-term, complex, multidisciplinary projects.
