Jenny has worked on large-scale residential developments, including the Mindenhurst Village development at Deepcut, a multi-phase development for 1,200 dwellings on a former military barracks site in Surrey. Jenny has produced Ecological Mitigation and Management Plans to support numerous Reserved Matters applications associated with the development, including for the construction of the Phase 1 infrastructure works and one of the first residential plots to be constructed. Jenny provides support and advice to the construction team with regards to the protected species located on site and attends site in an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) role.
Jenny is involved in numerous projects with our client the Girls’ Day School Trust, working on their Royal High School senior school campus. Projects have included a programme of site-wide re-roofing, the conversion of a building into a purpose-designed music school and proposed new sport facilities. In order to help the client achieve their goals, Jenny has worked closely with the project architects, engineers and lighting designers to ensure that protected species on site are safeguarded.
Jenny has worked with colleagues on a number of projects that have fallen within the consultation zones of protected sites including, but not limited to, the Bath and Bradford on Avon Bats Special Area of Conservation (SAC); North Somerset and Mendip Bats SAC; South Hams SAC; Mole Gap to Reigate Escarpment SAC; Thursley, Ash, Pirbright and Chobham SAC; Salisbury Plain Special Protection Area (SPA); and Thames Basin Heaths SPA. These projects have required special consideration of the qualifying features of the sites in relation to the proposed works.
