Gavin is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with seventeen years’ experience within the field of Landscape Architecture. He has been involved in a wide range of projects from the assessment/planning stage through to site implementation.
Gavin acts as a mentor for candidates on the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership and is currently also an examiner for the Pathway to Chartership.
Gavin has experience of landscape assessment, landscape design and implementation of a broad range of project types and scales. This has included strategic mixed use and residential developments, such as at Priory Vale, Swindon and Stevenage.
Gavin has been involved in the design and implementation of urban regeneration projects, including those within Bath city centre, Swindon town centre and the New England Quarter at Brighton.
Infrastructure projects have included minerals, energy and water management projects. These include the Avon Water Treatment Works Support Main in Devon, Wytch Farm Oilfield in Dorset, Babcombe and Sands Copse, Devon, and solar schemes in Cornwall.
Education related projects have included university projects in Oxford and Colchester and schools in the Bath area. Heritage environment projects have included work for English Heritage at Tintagel and the National Trust at Stourhead.
