The Environment Agency has named the list of firms on its £2.5bn Water and Environment Management Framework (WEM). We are very pleased to have been successful in the process and are delighted to be continuing to support the Environment Agency through the WEM Framework.
The Environment Agency is developing the Water and Environment Management Framework, through the Next Generation Supplier Arrangements project. The WEM Framework replaces the national engineering and environmental consultancy agreement (NEECA), the environmental services framework (ESF) and strategic flood risk management and national contractor’s frameworks as the Agency’s main asset delivery vehicle for flood and coastal risk management activities. The new framework has been designed to change the way construction teams are formed, with consultancy and construction teams being combined as the Agency recognises the value of using an integrated supply chain.
The WEM Framework is divided into 4 lots: Lot 1 Modelling Mapping and Data; Lot 2 Environmental Services; Lot 3 Engineering and Related Services; Lot 4 Asset Delivery.
We will be working with successful teams on Lot 4; it is advised that the Agency expects 75% of its capital programme spending will be via Lot 4, which encompasses consulting, design and construction services.
