Earl of Wessex attends Bishops Palace Celebration

On Thursday 21st June, The Bishop of Bath and Wells hosted an event at Bishops Palace Wells attended by the Appeal Patron, HRH The Earl of Wessex and members of the project teams to celebrate the completion of an eight year development project.

The scheme includes an engaging and vibrant visitor attraction which aims to provide access for a greater number of people. Working with the palace trustees, Architects, Caroe and Partners and design consultants Lyndsay Design, Nicholas Pearson Associates produced Photomontages of the new café for planning and produced a detailed 3D model of the whole palace. This has been used in part for the interpretation experience and throughout the project planning process to enable a better understanding of the site.

Our long term involvement with Bishops Palace has also included landscape design and historic research as well as preparing the Heritage Lottery Fund application which resulted in a successful Award towards the £4.8 million project.
