Each is associated with the council’s sustainable transport initiative ‘The Bath Transport Package’.

Our specific role has been to monitor and inspect contract landscape works, to ensure the schemes provide the high quality environments that were proposed. Working as the client’s representative covering landscape issues, on design and build projects, has demonstrated the following advantages:

  • The specialist consultant who prepared the contract drawings can keep a watch on the delivery of the scheme on their clients’ behalf;
  • We are able to provide quality control and advise on specific issues;
  • It assists our clients in delivering their scheme mitigation/objectives and by being prepared for handover.

As the final park and ride nears completion it is clear that the new facilities have delivered a high quality landscape setting and improved the travel experience of many who travel to Bath.
